How much luggage fits, by vehicle type

Passenger count is the first thing to consider when choosing a vehicle, but rarely the only one: luggage is usually what pushes you to a bigger class. Here's the reference to work it out before you get a quote.
Vehicle classes and how many passengers each fits
The fleet is organized into four passenger brackets:
- Executive — 1 to 4 passengers. Sedan or private SUV, including an option built for hard-to-reach areas.
- Compact van — 5 to 8 passengers, with plenty of room for luggage.
- Passenger van — 9 to 18 passengers, built for larger groups.
- Minibus or bus — 19 passengers and up, for delegations and event transfers.
How much luggage fits in an Executive vehicle
Using standard luggage dimensions, the trunk of an Executive-class vehicle fits approximately one of these three configurations:
- Two carry-on bags, side by side.
- Two checked suitcases, stacked.
- One oversized checked suitcase.
When it's worth upgrading to a bigger class
Rule of thumb: if the number of checked suitcases matches or exceeds the number of passengers, it's worth looking at the next class up, even if the group fits by seat count. Four people with four large suitcases travel better in a compact van than in an Executive.
Vans and minibuses fit considerably more luggage than an Executive, so for groups the bottleneck is almost always the trunk, not the seats.
Special luggage: what's worth flagging
A stroller, a car seat, sports equipment, instruments, or a pet change the math. All of that can be noted in the comments field on the quote form, so the vehicle assigned matches what you're actually bringing.
